Well colour me purple, after a few false starts I was working on the iPhone app when I noticed Wireshark flagging WoL packets differently. Seems like it has an inbuilt filter for WoL. Yes….

Running Wireshark on 10.6

This is really a note to myself but if you want to run Wireshark on 10.6 simply fire up terminal and

sudo chmod 644 /dev/bpf*

Perfect, and can capture wifi to :)
