I understand having to use the Verified by Visa 3 D security protocol, indeed I quite like the idea if it tackles fraud but if you are the biggest card issuer in the world then surely you can afford to hire somebody to change your database to it will accept non alphanumeric characters.

Ok if you have Allow Applications set to Mac App Store and trusted developers you can usually just ctrl click and press open to get round opening untrusted apps.
This didn’t work with the latest beta of Mountain Lion but there is a quick workaround. Simply set to Anywhere, open the app then set back to App Store and trusted developers.
